The debut of the Neighbourhood at 2K18 simply served to accelerate this transition and advertising things like'The Road to 99' abruptly took off lots of the pleasure in 2K. Every match meant something but something was not for everyone. Impressive career storylines and offline struggles within my group supposed 2K still had some thing for those casuals however and was a part of the motive NBA 2K20 scored so well this season. It is a shame then that 2K21 has left all that behind. 2K21 is almost completely constructed for the online competitive gamer, those who have 10 hours every day to grind out badges and build their rep. should you buy 2K solely to play offline the news isn't great, unless you are pleased to purchase loot boxes of course.
At this point, we've already seen the significant selling points for its current-generation version of NBA 2K21. UPDATED - 2K leaned on their VC South Studio to get a portion of the development of the game and didn't add a ton of features. Howeverthey did enhance the gameplay to a point where--according to what I experienced in the demonstration --is possibly in the best place it has been for a few years. The question to consumers considering if they should buy this version or await the next-generation iteration on the PlayStation 5 or even Xbox collection X boils down to a very simple concept: is there enough here to justify an early purchase?
